Ceramic Finish?

My brother just said a guy at work got an FRS, and just took it in to get a ceramic finish. Anyone know about this? Ceramics, in my experience, need to be baked in place to make a seal coating. I can't imagine removing all the panels, removing the clear coat down to the paint, spray with the ceramic and bake them.

My brother was pretty specific, baked-on ceramic.

It's another form of protective coating just as opticoat is. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uY9w5OKHq8"]Ceramic Coating Overview- Ft. Scion FRS - YouTube[/ame]

Well, from the video it's obviously no bake-on process, just ceramics suspended in a polymer. It is much like the Opti-Coat polymethacrylate process.

I'll just stick with the acrylic sealant.

cQuartz, from what I've seen here it's similar to Opti, but doesn't last as long. Be cool to see a side by side comparison of their scratch resistance though.
