I got the race upgrade set up perfect to where I don't need to trim the grill. No problems there. I did forget to install the large washers to the top of the rivet nuts but I think I will be OK. I don't drive my car in the winter so no worries there.

I love the springs but I feel like I am outgrowing them. When I started tracking I started out on stock suspension and the car felt floaty. Then I went to the springs and it was an amazing difference. My last trip to Watkins however, I noticed I was bottoming out on a sharp banked corner when I hit a small bump. I also really want some adjustment for dampening and rebound. So coilovers are in my near future.

Looks like I will be buying rpf1s this week too. So our builds will be even more eerily similar. Lol.

Took her out for a quick drive and wash last night. FT86 Speedfactory by Velox Front splitter with Race Upgrade installed. Pictures don't it justice. It looks great on the car. Waiting on Password JDM canards and Rally Armor mud flaps to finish off the aggressive/functional look.

You should be fine without the washers, it's just a little extra reinforcement, and with the race upgrade there isn't any deflection so it's not as big of an issue as with the street version.

Looking great, and I have noticed that the lowering springs/stock dampeners is becoming a weakness for me as well. Going to look very agressive with the cannards and mud flaps!

Any chance you can snap a few extra pics of the car with that front splitter on? The splitter is in the shade in that pic you posted so it is hard to make it out in all it's heavenly glory.

Will do. I am putting Password JDM canards and Rally armor mudflaps on tonight so I am sure there will be a lot of new pics and updates.

Stopped by and took a few crappy pics this morning. I will update as soon as the weather gets a little better (if it ever does). The canards are just taped on to see if I like them.....and I do. It looks like a Tsukuba time attack car. With out the splitter the canards would be way too large and look goofy. They look great together though

Looks good. Have fun at the Glen. It is definitely on my list of destination tracks.

Thanks! Watkins is amazing but I wish I lived in Florida like you. I saw your track day video on 1/25/15 and got jealous. We just started hitting positive temperatures here. lol.

That was actually the first track event I have done in January. I have raced while it was snowing in Memphis before though, haha. The south does have advantages in that we have events nearly every weekend of the year.

Here are some pics of the FT86 Speedfactory splitter with race upgrade and PasswordJDM outer canards fully installed. Its weird, but the canards didn't fit quite right on each side. I did a lot of measuring to ensure they were the same height but they didn't fit in the same places on each side. So if you look closely one is higher than the other. I am thinking the mold they make the left canard and the mold they make the right canard aren't the same. Still looks great though and its hardly noticeable unless I tell you.

Been following your thread for a while. Actually I met you once at a CNY SCCA solo gathering at Cherry valley last year. I hope to be making it out a lot more often this year...but anyhow.

Quick question on your brake setup - are you DD'ing this FRS? Are you switching out the pads at the track? Do you switch rotors with the pads? I want to upgrade pads for this season but I'm not sure how much work I'm getting myself into since I'm living in an apartment. No garage :-(

Nice build!
