There's now a single disc CSG clutch, that includes an upgraded throwout bearing (significantly larger than stock) and shift fork.

https://www.counterspacegarage.com/c...ch-system-fa20

It's the same upgrade used for the high capacity twin disc.

Well this is interesting. You've spoken well of the GReddy kit in the past. Can you tell me, someone that doesn't know much about clutches, the difference between this OS Giken kit and the GReddy one?

Could use some advice here. Since I'm already gonna have to drop the transmission to replace the TOB, should I go ahead and upgrade the clutch and flywheel? My FRS does dual duty as a daily driver and autocross car.

Kind of considering putting in the Verus forged fork, Exedy Stage 2 clutch and racing flywheel. Would that setup still be tolerable for daily driving? The OEM clutch feels really light to me, so I don't think a little bit stiffer would bother me.

Power wise, I normally daily on the OFT Stage 2 E85 tune, except for SCCA events. Might possibly go forced induction in the future though. Nothing too crazy, maybe like 300whp at the very max.

Yeah I also changed the snout to be safe, but surprisingly my old one looked to be in decent condition. I think a mild clean and polish would have cleaned it up nearly like new.

I upgraded the clutch/flywheel when my TOB died. No regrets. Great excuse to upgrade. Can't speak to the Exedy Stage 2 clutch, but I've got the Exedy Stage 1 with 12.7 lbs flywheel and love the combination. The quicker rev matches with the LWFW are great, as is the faster engagement of the clutch.

For daily driving, the clutch pedal is slightly heavier and it engages a bit quicker, but still easy to drive. I think the key is to avoid pairing a LWFW with an aggressive clutch. I could see that quickly becoming annoying because of the lack of flywheel weight and quick engagement of the clutch.

I've noticed recently a bit of rattling with the a/c engaged (flywheel chatter, I believe), but it doesn't bother me. Also a bit of drone on decel around 3000 rpm, but that is probably made worse from my diff cradle inserts.

Consider a Verus forged clutch fork as well.

I believe part is about $100 through the dealer.
This is the first I’ve heard of this. Do you know the part number for that?

You're a perfect candidate for the CSG Single disc clutch, since it covers all your bases, while giving you a nominally heavier pedal that will also give you much more engagement feedback.

The floating basket design will make a "rattle" when you're stepping on the clutch pedal, at idle, but most people don't mind it. While a different type of noise, the concept is similar to a Ducati clutch.

In those rare instances you run into another car with the OSG sound, you'll look at each other and

@CSG Mike Does that kit use the stock flywheel or a lighter one? Just found out SCCA rules don’t allow for a lighter flywheel in STX class.

It's a complete conversion.

I don't think it'll fly in STX class... but a custom one could be made for you to be the same weight as OEM...

So in theory if I did the Kpower swap would OSG be able to make me a custom flywheel to fit the swap?

yes, but everything else would need to be specified to figure out the stack height, configuration, etc.

Alternatively, it could be JUST the clutch, and you're on your own to figure out the rest.
