@Slick or anybody else, think 225/50/17 is too big? Just for the next few days to hold me over.

Not ideal, but for a few days it should be okay. 1.25" taller than stock, so not even 3/4" out further, don't think you'll rub anywhere.

Made it home fine. Turns out the winter wheels I've had for about 4 months aren't the right bolt pattern.
Co worker stored his Speed3 this year, and luckily his winter setup is universal. Tires are too big though obviously. Gives me some time to get organized since they say up to 25cm by tuhrsday

I passed two FR-S on the 417 during my rush hour commute into work this evening. More than usual, which is ironic given the conditions. All were sporting winter tires luckily.

I've learned to enjoy winter driving in the FR-S. A couple cm of snow really spices things up, now that I'm comfortable with the RWD & nannies. It's a different experience than summer driving for sure, but can be pretty stimulating in its own special way. Until the snow cover exceeds ~15cm+ that is. It's not a lot of fun try to stay in a straight line in the deep stuff. I brought change for the bus in the morning just in case the dump is bigger than forecast.

Were you heading east with the veteran's plates?

If yes, I was in the Ultramarine with the sharkfin and sticker on the side-rear windows.

yes indeed. that was me.

I usually take Riverside to work in the afternoon, but noticed that 417 east was moving along ok today. Got to love those traffic cams.

Cool!

I was surprised it wasn't a total shit-storm today. Other than the car that was spun out my Ikea, it was in fact moving pretty well.

What nanny mode do you guys use? I use all nannies on when on the highway, but in town I use "sport". I find the car doesn't move if they're fully on. The system is pretty intrusive.

@pushrod The first thing I do when I get into the car is hold the traction control button.

I don't want to sound obnoxious or like I'm the best driver ever or anything, but I find it's easier to drive when I can feel and predict the car. If I was doing highway I would put trac back on though.

I turn off traction control when getting started from a stop in snow or on an incline but never touch the VSC sport button in the winter.
