A high solids ceramic coating like CarPro CQuartz UK or Gyeon Mohs EVO would likely work better in this scenario. My daughter's cars got 3 years of protection while sitting in dorm parking lots.

Get some cheap dollar store peppermint or cinnamon mouthwash and pour it all over the tires where mice would climb in, dump some down the heater air intake. The mice hate those scents. They used to get in my Corolla heater vents and would get decapitated when I turned the heater blower on. A real pain to clean out. The scented mouthwashes did the trick to keep them out. It works on lawn tractors and pool heaters also.

I got the official Subaru car cover, so never bothered doing any paint protection, but might have seen your car a couple days ago. I was biking in Lord's Point and saw a dark blue twin in a driveway. They're pretty rare around here.

The car cover is working great. Fits well, quick on & off, and keeping the bird poop & tree debris off the paint. After every rain I take it off so the car & cover can dry.

Get some cheap cinnamon or peppermint mouthwash from the Dollar Store, and pour it over the tires and around the car and engine bay. Mice hate the smell and will stay away. Maybe leave cup full of the stuff on the interior floor of the car.
