I see, I think the Extreme Summer category may be a little too extreme. Based on my choices, tire rack is suggesting to stay in the Max. A good combination of Dry and Wet, without generating too much road noise and having a decent thread life. Plus I don't think Im quite ready to fully take advantage of an Extreme tire when Im just starting.

PS4S would be the easy button then.

The Dunlop will come to temp a lot easier then the RS4. It was pretty friendly tire to drive. Wear wise it was okay, not nearly as good as the Hankook. I remember it felt pretty good in the wet too. I believe the 615k+ was the spec SSC tire at one point. It’s friendly to drive on. I don’t remember much else about it though as it wasn’t my car that I drove them on. It was an FRS though. I believe they wear pretty well.

Im between the NEOVAs or the a052. I think I can make it work with limited road use and only taking the BRZ out when its time for events.

Of that list, I would buy the RS4 or 615K+. They will last the longest, take abuse, and won't cover mistakes as much as the A052 or similar.

I think after much indecision, and a lot of research, Im going with the Continentals Extreme Contact Sport 2. Reason being, they seem be perfect for my purpose road/tract/auto-X as they came recommended by both Tire Rack and GRMS.
The ECS2 are a revised version of their predecessor but Continental improved the dry grip while still maintaining wet grip, on average, they outpaced their Michelin rival. Ride was the quietest out of all its contenders on the "Endurance 200TW". They may need a little extra to get up to heat, but the numbers plus the price ($700) after rebates, was too good to overlook. I think I must improve on my driving before I start getting serious and competing in a proper class, instead of almost cheating my way out of novice class with tires that will mask my mistakes.

Yep, weird that they are rated on the 300s but Grassroots Motor Sports has them as Enduro-200TW. I agree with the first statement lol.

Im back! Updated parts list. Do not worry, maintenance has been religiously kept, especially now since the car does see some Auto X events.
I guess to sum it up, I started last year with CART CT. They are structured a little different regarding classes. C1 thru C6 with each class representing a level of modification based on SCCA classing. For example STX is C5, XA puts you in C4. So, I got my helmet, Go Pro, and off I went. First year was rough, it was about learning. Being competitive came later. My car was classed in a weird place where I lacked most of crucial modifications in order to be competitive. Still managed to win Novice class and then managed a podium at Wicked Big Meet NE. For this year, I decided to drastically upgrade the car. That's where most of the suspension modifications came, especially the RCE T2s, which by the way, the guys at RCE are PHENOMENAL. Whiteline inserts, bushings, equipment, new alignment settings. 200TW Tires and lightweight wheels. Everything has completely transformed the car. Season opener was a blast just getting to know the car better, the whole time I had a huge smile on my face. Right now Im just gearing up for Wicked Big Meet and Race 3 with CART.

Thanks! It is a good time when you're not standing around in the scorching sun around this time of the year. But it is also a very long day haha.
