There's actually quite a bit of feedback from users on this forum. While cost of entry is higher than most, long term cost of operation is lower, while also offering superior control and performance windows.

There's a lot more to pads than just shopping on specs alone.

If you'd like a personalized recommendation specific to your needs, post up exactly what is done to your car, what you are looking to do with your car, and what you are looking for in terms of braking feel, as well as your past experience with other pads (and platforms).

Thank you Mike.

Car has -2.5 degree camber in front, might go for -3 degree. currently running stock tires, planning to get SX2 either 215 or 225 as per recommendations here. Plan is to track it 4-10 times a year, 2nd year in to tracking, I am focused on learning to feel the car, so whatever gets me more feedback. Only Ferodo DS2500 till now after few months on stock pads.

Has either the DS2500 or stock pads overheated/faded on you, or have had a smell? How long are both lasting for you?

DS2500 haven't faded. I have had 5 track days and about 50% life is left on them. I would check again next month when doing fluid change.

My plan is if CSG CP fade on me after getting it, then I would just get tS with brembos and get CP again (I assume brembos would be improvement over regular). If those fade them going for track pads.

PP Brembos are very noise prone. You'd be better off going with the CSG BM4 front, with CP, which will be nearly silent. Higher rigidity with the CSG BM4.

I might check out Portland track as well.

This year's plan is to do 5-8 track days, 2-3 car control clinic with PCA. Last year car control with PCA was very fun, learned a lot like autocross and got significant seat time. I have also bought sim racing setup to practice ridge track.

Tires are still stock but I am going to get SX2 this year. Brake pads are still DS2500 with significant life left, I would probably switch to CSG CP after they wear out. If run out of limit on those I am going to get BRZ tS for bbk.
I’d try doing a track day with Turn2 and getting Gabe as an instructor. He drives a twin and knows the platform really well. Very fast and articulate.

A lot of guys that run with Audi are instructed to drive really odd lines at the Ridge.

Pacific is plenty safe and Proformance does a good job with their class. The turn onto the front straight is bumpy but it is more of a problem with higher HP cars and novice drivers. It’s really not much worse then coming onto the straight in the finial section at the Ridge. That back section is fine as long as you are not yeeting the curbs, they are big and unsettle the car quite a bit. It looks intimidating but it is not bad as long as you are within your limits and not pushing it. I’ve talked to far more people who have crashed a car at the Ridge than Pacific. The Ridge has a lot of medium to high speed turns and getting off into the grass it is hard to slow the car down and get it under control again before hitting a tire wall, or a ditch, or a flag station. ORP is far sketchier.

I have heard nothing but good things about CSG pads and have considered getting them myself as a replacement for my CL RC6s when the time comes.

CSG pads are definitely up there price wise but you get what you pay for it seems

Can confirm of the PP Brembos make a ton of noise with DS2500 pads.

CRC's brake disc quiet was what was recommended by our autocross guys locally. I used the spray version and it quieted them down from April until October. Had to reapply heavily again this year in April after storing the car.

I've heard this is the case with any even semi-track oriented pad and the Brembos. OEM pads didn't make any noise at all.

On brembos, can you easily pull pads out to do that? Or you have to remove caliper bolt?

Thanks, I would try with T2 and HOD this year.

Thanks, I would go to Pacific as well then this summer. I meant Portland raceway, ORP is too far for me but thinking now Portland might be too far of a drive this year. May be when my son gets older I would be able to stay overnight at places.

Yeah, you can easily pull them out. Two pins and a little clip and the pads slide out. You can pull them out, regrease/spray, and pop them back in rather quickly. I just did it when swapping to summer/autocross wheels recently.

PIR is kinda boring to be honest, especially compared to the Ridge.
