I just skipped the whole test drive process and went right to the purchase... so skipping the test drive isn't always a stratagy that works. ha!
(actually the first time I sat in a BRZ was when I was driving away from my local dealer) A couple months prior to buying the BRZ I had an opportunity to briefly sit in an FRS at a dealer. I knew then, when it was time... that I had found the replacement for my Prelude. |

The test drive sold me. I was interested in a new fun car but the lack of HP I thought was a no-go factor for this car, no pun intended. I was in the market to buy another S2000 but they are priced too high for my liking so I was hoping something fun and something similar to the S2000 would come out. I always wanted a hard top S2000 and sometimes wish it had backseats. I DD'd an s2k for 7 years btw. I went to a dealership and the sales guy was super cool, let me take a limited out for a cruise by myself. The car put a smile on my face immediately, it has that S2000 cockpit feel to it. After my test drive I told him to find a Limited in white for me. I get a call the next day saying one just showed up on a delivery truck that he didn't even know about. He through out $27,700, ended up getting it for $27,300. 8 months later and still smiling. Have an itch for a turbo though.

I use my car to haul a three year old around near daily. It actually easier to get him in the BRZ than it was the 5 door hatch. Because he can climb in himself (lower sill and seat height) and sit down in his car seat at which point I just sit on the door sill and buckle him in.
Easy as 123. Seriously. |
