Tablet Install

I'm about to buy the new Galaxy S4 when it comes out and I'm gonna be able to get like 100 bucks off a tablet so I might as well get one.
I'd like to get a Nexus 7 or a Galaxy Note 8.
Which would fit better as a head unit, a 7" or 8" tablet? With some custom fabrication of course.

No doubt both the tablets are all in all in their features, working and resolution. But my suggestion is to buy Nexus 7. This is very well for what you want to buy.

Nexus 7 is about as big as you can get without a ton of custom plastic work. Even with the N7, you need to shave plastic out of the bottom of the dash faceplate, but that isn't too hard.

Judging how my N7 install went, I am not so sure there is room for an 8".
