Really OP...you think your the first one to buy a frs/brz and want to be sponosored..lol..Not how this world works 1.) Its all about who you know 2.) You have to have something in return that benefits the sponsor 3.) a really clean car that gets alot of attention from magazines or shows.
Or you can be a Race Car Driver its probably easier to get sponsors that way.

Take advice from people who are not sponsored on how to get sponsors??

Talk to people in the industry who have been there and done that and they can point you in the right direction.
@staycrushing might be able to help elaborate a bit on things you can do to get your name/intentions out there.

there are several different types of sponsorship programs all that come with headaches. best bet is to find a local company and then as the old saying goes... you gotta pay to play. you need to establish a relationship with the companies and as mentioned already, show that your car (not you) can offer a significant ROI.

it's more than stickers and driving in high populated areas. having your car at shows and events when needed (transported not driven), prototyping, being able to hand your keys over to your sponsor(s) when needed without flinching that someone is going to take your car away from you for a two week period.

most of the time it's not what it cracks up to be, not like you're going to get free parts or even heavily discounted.

i had a mazdaspeed protege with 2 sponsors and even had my car used to "test" the injen cai prototype before it hit the market. all of the companies went belly up and i lost a LOT of money and time.

you can find places out there (ie: streetunit for mazdas) that will "sponsor" you with different levels and prices (lol). most cases no one wants to sponsor a stock (or basically stock) car that just rolled off the lot recently.

hate to burst your bubble, but that's just how it is man.
