No paint marks on them, just pink. I've seen those markings on aftermarket springs too.

Just curious, where did you order the STI Pink springs from? Japanparts? Post some pics after you guys have them installed!

Yes, Japanparts. My 86 will arrive in July, I’ll post some pictures when I’ll get it!

Got my springs/sachs dampers installed and first of all the ride is much smoother, especially over bad pavement. some bumps that would normally hurt (maybe not hurt but sound and feel very jarring) on 2013 suspension, the new suspension handles easily.
In terms of lowering, i certainly dont think its any lower, if anything the tire to fender gap is a bit bigger now (again, i didn't do this for lowering anyways). they may need to settle still though. I had it aligned too and asked them to zero out the toe and install whiteline camber bolts for the front negative camber adjustment. Dialed in -1.5 degrees in the front. Only thing of concern is the rear camber is quite uneven, one side is -2.0 degrees and one side is -0.3 degrees which is odd. Mechanic couldn't find anything bent or damaged and bushings looked good. Ride height seems even enough to me. Not sure if this will hurt handling or cause quite a bit of extra wear or not. Last edited by Decep; 04-13-2018 at 08:22 PM. |

I also got the 2017 1mm thicker rear sway bar installed too, and i can see why OEM added that. The 2017 suspension is definitely not as razor sharp as the 2013 (no free lunch as they say). According to their "before" measurements, STOCK negative camber in back was -1.7 one side, -0.8 other side. Im confused as to how i GAINED camber so i think i might try another alignment shop and see how their findings look compared to this one Last edited by Decep; 04-13-2018 at 10:04 PM. |

Lowering th rear increases camber, but if I’m not wrong it’s around 1 degree per inch. Googling around I found that 2017 lower shock bolt is bigger. You can check if this gives you some unwanted play.

I wonder if these are the USDM STI springs paired with Sachs dampers?

OP can you post pics of your setup? These seem to be USDM pinks.

@Decep if you are still interested, your suspensions are Sachs dampers from a non tS 2017 BRZ, probably with US aftermarket STi springs.

I still have them, they rode and handled fine. But they didn't lower the car. Ended up going to RCE SS1's

Sounds odd to me the USDM dealer accessory STI Springs wouldn't be branded as STI. The logo is on the rest of the STI accessories.
