This thread took a turn.

On a positive note my car has been built and now I'm just waiting on them to put it on a truck to the dealership

R134A has an insignificant effect on ozone. Not to be confused with R12 which should never be vented to the atmosphere. If your 134A gets inadvertently leaked out, there is no need to find that troll Greta Thunberg and ask for mercy.

You are correct, it isn’t ozone depleting, but it does have a large carbon footprint, but it’s cool. We actually need greenhouse gasses to live. Healthy green houses actually pump in co2. I’m doing my part to save the trees.

Troubleshooting tips?

Worst about all of this is my 2022 C8 Vette was supposed to be here by now. So I've either got to fix this and sell it on my own or take the loss in the form of trading it in. FML
The fact that this happened all of the sudden leads me to believe it's the relay. The horn and AC use the same relay, just swap them and see if you end up with a working AC but randomly failing horn.

R134a is

ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED

times as potent a greenhouse gas as straight CO2

R134A will break down in a dozen or so years and I don't see wholesale venting of the stuff, at least in First World countries. The new BRZ and GR86 AC is charged with R1234yf which can in most cases can replace R134A in older systems. The new stuff is highly reactive and breaks down in a few weeks. I believe a more serious contributor to greenhouse gas is farting cattle. There is talk in government on imposing a flatulence tax and that should speed up research into bovine emissions control.
