What parts need to be changed at what mileage?
So I am new to the forum and not sure exactly how to use it yet so please don't roast me in the comments if I brought up a topic that's already been discussed. I am getting my first car very soon and I have an frs picked out. It has about 130k miles on it and I was just wondering what should I look out for at that mileage. What parts will let go at what mileage (e.g. the spark plugs need to be replaced every 100k miles, etc). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi from Richmond!
This document will tell you what's needed for a '15 FR-S (what I have). The good stuff starts on page 39 and it's pretty straightforward. FWIW spark plugs are at every 60k, but many people stretch it out longer. I just did it at 60k because I like not having that question in my mind. It's a tough job but very doable by yourself.

Check all of your rubber bushings. They're probably tired and could use a refresh.
Check the clutch pedal for noise when depressed. TOB is a common issue. Look for rust spots near the top of the windshield. If they go left untreated, rust can start to form. |

All suspension components at that mileage likely are getting tired. Check for maintenance history, especially if you live in an area with bumpy roads. Wheel bearings, struts, the spark plugs as others have mentioned, throw out bearing if it's making some sound. See if it's the original panasonic battery. But most important is the paperwork for maintenance. If they have next to nothing, try to strike a deal with them; like "if you'll do the spark plugs, I'm willing to agree on x price out the door" etc
