so not entirely weird, but definitely something that should be resolved by the manufacturer.
The mechanic who was replacing the exhaust was also surprised. He said most cars have small drain holes. He was trying to get the water out by shaking it but I guess it took too long. When I brought it home I was standing outside my garage for like 10 minutes shaking the muffler this and that way and I still couldn't get it all out. So I said screw it, drilled 2 small holes and got all the water out that way

Tires are Continental Viking7 205-60R16s
How does the car feel on 16"? More comfortable?

It is a bit softer riding for sure. I went up to 60 vs 55 side profile to add a bit of ground clearance.

yep, my brother said he had the same thing. got tired of waiting, wrapped an air nozzle with a rag and pressurized the exhaust from the tail pipe to force more of it out.

Ecutek tune now done, and today pulled the oil pan to inspect the pickup as track season is starting soon. 40-45% clogged with RTV. WAY too much RTV was used to seal that pan on. Very glad I did that. Also ditched the 0-20 oil for 5-30.

Put the front JRI Coilovers and Whiteline sway bar on last night. Will try and find some time today to finish up with the rear.

Do you think it's a safe assumption that cars delivered in May '23 won't have the excess RTV? Has anyone noticed when (if?) they stopped doing that?

Nope. I'd assume it's still an issue until 2023 owners drop their oil pans to prove otherwise.

Pulled the trigger on new street/canyon tires, Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 in 225/45/17. I seem to go through tires every 5-6k miles, so when these went on sale I couldn’t say no. Surprisingly stiff sidewalls (actually induce some rattles in the cabin) and turn-in is noticeably sharper than the base Primacy tires. Actually more comparable to my track tires (gtradial sx2) in terms of stiffness. The reviews didn’t mention them being stiff so I’m guessing it’s because I bought an XL-load size (94Y). Haven’t had a chance to push these tires hard, but based on reviews the grip should be a step up from the Primacys, but not quite PS4 or sx2 level.

These tires seem to run true to size and clear a double camber bolt stock suspension front setup on 17x8 +42 with about 3-4mm to spare.

Re-topped the oil. No oil consumption on the first 7500 miles, a good amount on last 500 miles.

Will monitor that.
