Question 4th gear scync

Hey everyone, guess what?? My 8.5k mile manual transmission raven has a 4th gear sync issue. After 3.5k rev's the second part of the sync comes into play and the gear wont go in smooth, it trashed my 4th gear. Toyota is coming out to look at it, but after the dealer pulled apart the transmission the gear is trashed.

First transmission replacement I know of, but thought I'd keep you all in the loop.

** Had the car almost 4 months 8.5k miles, rear lights fogged, 4th gear sync issue, shift knob adhesive melted in az summer heat, hard to get into 2nd gear, panels not meshing correct, and I'm still loving it... Thanks for the new tranny Toyota

Not once, I'm sure I drove hard, but not that hard. Still looking to find out what I can do next. I guess the STI has the same issue some times. It started small, but got worse and worse and wooooorse, now I cant even get into 4th after 3k revs.

So I have to keep an eye that my 2nd gear really is having a hard time.. A tech already felt it and was told to keep an eye on it. but that's why 5 year warranty is there...
