Fun Dealership Recent Oil Change
Sooo... I get back the one-page checklist of the free included multi-point thorough inspection and find out that...
1. My power steering fluid level has been topped up, as it has been the last four oil changes. Great job, guys! 2. My rear brake pads have increased in thickness by 2mm over the last 6000 miles! Cool... a car that regenerates! 3. No need to check the differential or manual transmission oil, despite my query as to whether or not we should probably change them (never have, 2013 @ 46K miles). They assured me they'd check the levels when I told them about my upcoming roundtrip from Syracuse, NY to Baton Rouge, LA. Didn't.. although they DID top up my power steering fluid.. ROFL.. just thought it was funny. They're actually very good to deal with, and very nice people. |

OP my tire tread depth increased between the 1st and 2nd service visit.
I didn't know I had some kind of self-renewing tires.

I had the magic brake pads also, but that was between different dealerships.
My dad got his Corvette back from a dealership once and noticed that someone had taken a Sharpie and written "Moblie 1 [sic]" on the coolant overflow bottle. He looked into the bottle and realized someone had actually poured some oil into it. The coolant reservoir wasn't low, so they didn't put much in before realizing something was wrong. It doesn't seem to have hurt anything, but the dealership did flush it out, and I think they refunded the cost of the oil change. |

geez, hope they are not putting power steering fluid in the brake fluid. I'd be inclined to ask then just to be sure!

Let me guess, it's not their fault and they didn't want to pay? I had a dealership dent my tC, luckily I had pictures of the car when I dropped the car off and caused a scene when I told them to pull up the video of when I drove in damage free. They used PDR and all was well In the world -would've went smoother if they didn't force my hand. I understand they don't want to go broke getting scammed but you have to be fair and make things right when you're wrong. |

both times they replaced it but the 2nd time was a huge hassle and they made it seem like they were doing me a favor lol. when the service manager told me they were going to replace the 2nd one but they would no longer be rotating my tires I think he thought I would be upset about it or something because he was pretty peeved when i quickly responded there was no way i would let them touch my car again if they cant figure out lug nuts. i take it to a different dealership now and just request the wheels not be removed from the vehicle. |

It's funny that every single time I have taken the car in for service at another dealership I have received a survey afterwards. I didn't get one for them. Let this be their review: Subaru of Georgetown sucks donkey balls. |
