Ive actually just started looking for Legacy GTs as a winter/commuter car. Snow tires can only do so much when it gets so deep. PM the details on the car?

Dunno if this counts for this thread, but the day I picked up my FRS, Dec 15, 2012, there was a lady trying to convince the salesperson to sell her the car that I already put a down payment on. Are you on here lady? Did you end up getting one? Also in Whiteout?

Well my car is starting to act like a subaru... it's leaking oil, has an electrical issue that keeps blowing fuses to the head lights, and the axle is making noise again. It's gonna be a long Monday for that tech at the dealership.

Well that doesn't sound too comforting.

Can you give us more update what the dealer find?

I have very bad luck when it comes to anything Subaru. As these cars age oil leaks, head gaskets, and spun bearings will probably be common like most other Subaru models. On the plus side to all of this is that the engine is extremely easy to work on and not horribly expensive to repair. I am a little sour as my 2003 legacy cost me $6,000 in repairs over the last year. So yes I have the world's only completely restored 2003 legacy lol.

I have that one.. with only 1 "R" though.

I saw an FRS on Rochester Road last week that had the "GT 86" plate. I would love to have taken a picture of that next to my car..

Anyone have any interesting mod projects you're working on?

I've got two that I'm thinking of doing this weekend.. pending time availability.

1.) Brakes! My stoptech pads have a wicked squeal.. so I'm going to pull the calipers off and check the pads. I may or may not have put in the shims when I replaced them last time, so I'll check that this time. Then I'm going to put on some stainless lines and do a full brake fluid replacement.

2.) Backup camera. There is a great how-to article on this site. I bought the camera for $20 on amazon. Now I need work up the courage to take off the rear bumper cover and cut a hole in it to mount the camera. The wiring will be time consuming, but not necessarily hard.

Anyone else have any cool projects?

oh yeah.. I'm going to get some swaybars in the near future..

Any one here works for Johnson Controls?
I see a WRB BRZ next door.

I had to go walk and check it out. It has a Michigan State Alumni License Plate Frame and drilled front bumper.

I run these pads....they did squeal bad after my 1st Waterford track day....it eventually went away entirely, took a few weeks though.

I went for the upgrade kit with the slotted rotors and mine never squealed.

Spotted inside GM tech Centre

Hey guys! new guy here! Anyone here work at the GM Tech Centre in Warren? One WRB BRZ passed by me this afternoon as I was leaving work, and another SWP BRZ this morning was in front of me and it had the big ft86 graphic on the drivers side!
