Well, people can spend what they want and feel is worth it to them. So going through i think my favorite one is HKS Hi-Power Spec L, just trying to figure out if it's worth it to me though... Best sounding one IMO but negligible performance increase. And if i can find it anywhere...

Also didn't realize hks is working on a super charger. That's cool.

Catbacks rarely, if ever, add power. Its placebo effect. Want power, header/tune. No tune for us yet... c'mon ECUTek!

It's for this reason that I will be getting a custom one made up for me by my exhaust guy. He did a fantastic job on my single exit Mazda 3 custom axle back and looking forward to similar results in the BRZ. I definitely want headers and a tune but that's for later when warranty is almost up. By then all the tuning and header designs should be smoothed out and ready to go.

I usually have gone that route of custom exhaust with my previous vehicles. The only time I didn't is with my current car because I went with the JCW exhaust which has the electronic valve to open her up, essentially "straight piping" it. By the time I get my BRZ maybe I'll find more info and can go custom again. But for now, that new Spec-L is the one I need to decide on or not.

I was very happy with the MXP Dual Exit (not the Comp RS) on my 1st Gen. But only had the catback, rest of the exhaust is stock. This one:

Tomei posted a shared parts compatibility list. Not super descriptive, just a "Yes" and "No" to some of the ZN6/ZC6 parts they tested and if they can be put on the new gen.

It's been a while since I bought an exhaust (HKS for my Celica)... When did burnt tips become a thing?

I think you'll like it. It has a nice, deep tone and it's pretty quiet at idle but still lets enough out when you're rowing the gears to be enjoyable.
