Gen 2 seat height
Just wondering if anyone has found a solution to lower the Gen 2 drivers seat slightly.
I find I’m up a bit higher than my Gen 1 and just can’t seem to get as comfortable. Hoping there may be a simple solution (back in the days with French hot hatches there were often spacers you could remove, although I can’t see this being the case). Thanks in advance. |

I think there was a similar thread in the GR section a while back and no one had found a solution.
But I agree 100% I'm not tall, but would like the seat to be lower.

I just got a GR86. I'm tall (6-3), and it's a tight fit with a helmet. Just ordered this:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000AZ9KS...ectFromSmile=1
I plan to use it to stretch the seat springs over time. I will extend it between the seat and headliner (first put a firm pad over each end to spread the forces). Then raise the seat against the device so it will put pressure on the seat springs. Hopefully, over time, the seat springs will stretch and I will sit a little lower. |

Have you tried this technique before on a different vehicle?

Interesting idea. I’d worry about it denting the aluminium roof, but there may be a way to secure to a support up top. Keen to hear how it goes |
