Custom Exhaust in MD, NOVA, and DC

Hey there guys and gals. I was curious if any of you decided to go with a custom exhaust instead of buying a mass produced one. If so where did you have it done and are you happy with the results

Awesome thanks for the info. I will check them out. i am trying to decide between the idea of a custom exhaust or just buying a mass produced one. Have you ever had one of their exhaust on your vehicle?

SMS-Products is up that way if i recall, and they make some of the best quality parts exhausts/custom headers that you'll ever see, but it comes at a price.

http://sms-products.com/

Here's one of the headers he's built (for a honda challenge car, i believe) for example: http://sms-products.com/images/b20stainless.jpg

SRT in Beltsville. Got the cat-back and it is sweeeetttttt. (Swift Racing Technologies). They are a small shop and each unit is hand built, not what I would call mass produced. Your site name only says 'Maryland' so that leaves a lot of area to cover.

Depends on what you want. There are plenty of proven mass produced exhaust designs on the market that are in essence "custom". They are designed and built to fit one specific car. I think the only thing you'd gain going to someone and asking for a custom setup is if there was something you wanted that wasn't commercially available already.

Yes I have had a ton of exhausts and pipes from them, every time i need/want an exhaust or test-pipe, Hi-Flow is my go-to. They are the most professional guys in the business, they actually care about the cars. One of them has a massive classic car collection, you can talk cars to these guys for hours. Really good people that treat you like a person, not like a chain store coupon, 100% gurantee youll like them and never look anywhere else. If you go to them, let me know and tell them John sent you!

I do not have a video camera, sorry. I will probably be at the Summit Point event this Saturday or the next autocross event in Frederick on Nov. 17th. (Both weather permitting). Also with the header back system it woud also depend on how many cats you do away with as to the sound.

Check the videos on the full headerback system. Cat-back sounds pretty much spot-on as what is in the videos. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9372 The cat-back system is what you can see visible in the bottom picture of all the ones in the very first post.
