I take my FRS Across Canada Touring Thread
Hey guys, we do this on the motorcycle forum a lot with touring threads. But I'm taking my FRS across Canada (well technically Half way across Canada) starting from the GTA and moving to all the eastern provinces sans Newfoundland though that's in the near future.
I leave tomorrow at 5:30 am with the first stop being Montreal. Over the days I'll use this thread as a means to post cool shots with the FRS along the journey since I don't think our beautiful country gets as much credit as it ought to get. I'll update it tomorrow when I arrive at my destination and will continue to update it as I keep taking more pictures The car's only got 4 seats but I'll take you guys along for the ride with me. |

Might I suggest the town of Summerside, PEI for a slight detour? It's supposedly a gorgeous sea side town but it's slightly out of the way.

If I have time during the day I might be able to check it out. The itinerary has the "worst case scenario" times, so I'll most likely have a couple hours extra of free time.

Meat Cove, baby! Good for you. I've only been once, but it's a magical remote place. Have a bowl of clam chowder at the place. Yeah, "the" place. There's only one. When we were there, I think there was one school-aged person living in Meat Cove and she waited on us at the little restaurant/campground place. Nice girl. She said that in the winter they'd send a Suburban fitted out w/ tracks to pick her up and it was a 2 1/2 hour ride to school. My kind of place!
Enjoy your trip. PEI is one of our favorite places; I went there for the first time back in the early 70s as a kid, my wife and I honeymooned there in '82, and we've taken our kids back a few times over the years. We loved our trips around Cape Breton and the Gaspe peninsula, too. Meat Cove was a highlight; incredible place. Have a great time. Barry |

Never been east but done GTA to the west coast and back a couple times on bikes, one day I have to go east! Longest I have spent in the BRZ in a day is around 10hrs and it wasn't bad at all.
(not including lapping at calabogie then driving home after..)

Holy crap But I have seen military maneuvers completed with less planning and attention to detail!
In contrast my wife and I are driving to Atlantic City in two weeks and our itinerary and plan consists of: Drive for a while and find a hotel. Sleep Get up and drive some more until we are there. That is a very nice little trip you have laid out there.
