Today was a good day.
Finally installed the last piece of my exhaust system.
I had my OpenFlash Header installed.

OpenFlash Header combined with a Milltek resonated primary catback.

It sounds great , not that extremely loud, no waking up the dead (only the neighbours ).
I modded the tune so that the cold start isn't that loud and added some crackling, popping sounds

Soundclip (cellphone)

Less then 2000€ (including transport- and importcharges), I did the installation myself so I don't know how much that would cost you.

Next step is putting it on a dyno, I wonder how much power it's making with all the mods I did.

Sounds really good man! Love it!
Makes me want to get an OFT !!!
But do you reckon the engine pops are damaging for the engine or won't it be of any harm?

It's dangerous for the cats because of the unburnt fuel that ignites in the exhaust. But I don't have any cats anymore

I must say, it's a wonderful orchestra at the back now

Shouldn't you stay within reasonable limits ?
If you run really too rich I always learnt you had to be careful for "cylinder-wash" (the fuel washing away the lubrication of the pistons). Same thing on the other side of the spectrum, running too lean is also not very healthy. Got an idea which air/fuel ratio you are running now?

I'm logging it with OFT and as far as I can see the AFR and the STFL and LTFL are all in their normal values.
Probably not the safest for the engine, but it sounds just so f***ing awesome.
I'm going to flash it back to a normal program when I get bored of it and just use the popping rom for meets and other times I want to have fun.

These are my values in RomRaider:

It only dumps alot of fuel when there is litle to no load on the engine.

I must add, after driving with it for a few days, the ride is a little bit jerky now, coming on or off the throttle it lugs a little bit forward because of the sudden fuel injection.
It's not really suited for city center driving (which I do alot), more for a great driving twisty road thing.

"Dumps a lot of fuel" ... haha I guess you've put in that 10 A/F ratio at low load as a "manual override" in a base map?
Sure it sounds fun, but aren't you afraid the washing is in such a wide rpm range?

I do have a question, how is the car for daily driving? Not too loud with the changed front pipe and all? My car is pretty loud but i think it's mostly because of the catback lol

It's not too bad, if you stay between 2000 and 3000rpm you hear a slight rumble but you can still talk to each other, listen to the radio, etc. Offcourse it all depends on your right foot, but coasting around in the city shouldn't be a problem. I think it's a little bit less loud then with the Milltek alone.
But compared with the cold starts everything is very silent
The cold starts are terrible, even with tweaks its very loud.
But I need to update my ROM definitions to tweak that a little bit more

If you go WOT it's loud but not that loud you have to start yelling at each other with megaphone's.
Around 4500/5000rpm you hear the engine more than the exhaust.

I must say, your CBE is very loud, I think it is louder then my Milltek with a cat delete.
I think somebody needs to measure it with a DB-meter to be sure
