i wonder how many times on the entire planet that in a real life situation an 86 drag raced a minivan off the line? its ridiculous to think about, and hell even if it ever did happen - you can pull up to the next light and look over and say, "Hey, nice run! by the way! you're still driving a minivan!"

also, who gives a crap? for every guy with a pacifica, there's a ecoboost mustang for that guy, and theres a v6 camaro 1le for that guy, and there's a mustang v8 for that guy, and theres a vette for that guy, and there's a 911 for that guy, and theres a dodge demon for that guy. wooooo, i can afford a fast car that i probably have no idea how to actually drive, big f'ing deal.

i'm pretty sure that the guys out driving their fairlady 240z, bmw 2002, ferrari 308, lambo miuras and such that would get 'smoked' by most modern musclecars and they rightfully could care less. and while a twin aint quite that, that's about how i feel about it.

Exactly and even more so for the auto owners like myself I didn't pick this car up for 0-60 and I've had decently powered cars like the GS400 and G35.

Hell even this car can hit 0-60 with its 5 HP and here were complaining about lack of power.

It did make me think of one thing: You know when I have the most fun in the Fiesta? In the few weeks early spring when the temperature starts to warm up, but there's still a chance for one last snow storm so I can't justify putting the OEM summer rubber back on. The 0 to 60 time is shot. If you hit boost in first or second the car takes off like an excited puppy on a tile floor. I'm also pretty sure that if you tried to take a lap in the thing, many drivers would give up half way through and just enjoy sliding it around. That said, as much as I like driving that car when it grips, I smile way more when I can pull the back end around like the wheels were on lunch trays. Numbers aren't everything.

Also I'm going to be frequently replacing winter tires.
and here I hoped Hulk sued that garbage blog out of existence.

My Focus ST was my favorite car when it wasn't at the Ford dealership not running, which was about half the time I owned it. The fiesta is even more fun.

Funny I never hear the classic car guys complaining even the Alfa Romeo's, the MG, the Trumph's as well.

And in a straight line they would have had their asses handed to them by this:

I've been pretty lucky so far. 16,000 miles and only two trips in for service. Both HVAC related, but it took 3 days to get the parts for each.

While I can't remember what site I saw this video posted on I was especially impressed by the person that wrote something to the effect of:

"Even for a "handling" car it should have more power. Since the Pacifica has more power it should be about even to the 86 on the track."

WOW

Mine had something to do with sync causing a parasitic drain. If I parked the car for more than 3hrs it would need a jump. They kept "fixing" it and it kept happening.

I've also shot a piston through the bloke of a wrx, so I am not delusional Subaru reliability.

So far the mustang was my least problematic performance car.

Not that I have ever measured, but I'm confident that my 800 rpm launches and careful upshifts are netting me a 0-60 time closer to the automatic version of the car. I'd be shocked if I have ever broken 7 seconds....

Source for this? I was convinced that the quarter mile time for a stock 86 with MT was 14.9
