Oh I get it. So this is why old people drive crown vics? Because only young people in skinny jeans like more HP. I guess I’m a young 41 years old then. Hahaha

Some of us don't complain on factory output, never even remember that being a thing before the interweb. There's nothing wrong to modify for more power, just do it.

Definitely an FA24 with 94mm bore and same stroke (see below link).
Seems like a bit of a waste considering it only makes 25nm more torque and 10 more hp at the same RPM as the Forester XT with the FA20. Would theoretically mean you could rev it higher in NA form, assuming they plan on making a NA version. https://www.subaru.co.jp/press/file/...17_1129_02.pdf |

It is rated 260/277 at 87 octane. I think this motor can prove to be a great one.

Only with a corresponding increase in valve area, otherwise you'll likely be making peak power/tq lower in the rpm range. Which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, as long as overall power goes up.

How is this thing dimensionally compared to the FA20dit, is it just a bigger bore? Is it any more feasible as a future swap? What are the odds of the WRX's manual transmission mating to this thing? Or is it still a tight squeeze for our teeny weeny transmission tunnels?
