Greddy Axel-back or Catback?

Hey guys, I'm so lost right now. I keep looking at exhaust and about to go crazy here haha.

Would this be a good option,

1. Greddy SP Axel Back + Catless front pipe + tune
or
2. Greddy Supreme SP Catback + catless front pipe + tune

I'm not doing this at once, but in long term, however, i read this in the sticky thread
"Mid-Pipe
Very little restriction here on NA car, keep the resonator else you may get rasp or drone. No Cel code problems here."

So what option is better or do they both produce the same gains?

Just cause, right now, a axel back is $600.00 while a catback is $1150.00

More or less will produce the same gains IMO, it's the tune that you get that will net you the most gains

But, if you aren't changing your header to an aftermarket catless header, you'll just be seeing a small bump everywhere, with a tad more torque in the 3000-4500 region

Don't bother tuning unless you have a header. It won't make a huge difference, as catbacks or axlebacks are more for sound than anything else. I'd save the money and grab the axleback.

Thanks guys, this is a lot of help and I slept on it and also think the axel back is the way to go.

I'd leave the exhaust stock and go with a catless UEL header. Then a tune.

You could also do a Berk muffler delete for less than 300 bucks. If you don't like it you could probably sell it for 2/3 of what you paid.

If I were you, I would get an Open Flash Tablet. Even just stage 1, you WILL feel a difference.

As for your exhaust, a Top Speed Pro-1 axleback will do you well. I have had one on my car for almost a year, including a rough PA winter. It held up fine and has no problems. The only issue I have is that the passenger side exhaust tip is just a little off center.

I'm not sure if there's shipping options to Canada that aren't ridiculous, but you're saving a lot of money.

If you want to have a muffler delete done, don't waste your money on a Berk, Nameless or other, have one custom fabbed at a local shop. It'll be custom made to your car, and be a hell of a lot cheaper.

I am currently having the exact same #1 set up you mentioned.

SP elite sounds very nice and no drone, MXP catless front pipe and mid pipe is stock.

Without the tune I was pulling away very slightly in 3rd gear to a friend with full catback exhaust only.

With the tune the car is much more responsive and the torque dip seems to have disappeared, definitely more pull in third gear from 3K to 5K RPM. The tune is OFT Stage 1 91 OCT.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for setting up the group buy!

And here is a shitty video I made comparing my setup to my friend's Perrin full catback exhaust. Both were not tuned.

Go with the cat back, better in the long run. I ended up selling the SP axel back after a year because there's nowhere to go from there, no mid pipe or anything will fit to it
