I did it after the v-bands to make sure they were tight on the hanger to reduce movement.

Still having an issue with this. I even had someone shoulder butting the left tip as I tightened the system. After a heat cycle, it shifted back and the left tip is still sticking out a little bit. I have twisted the S Pipe, which it only twists a small amount up and down. I've tried tightening it at the muffler first, then to the mid pipe, and vice versa. Doesn't seem to matter. I have a JDL UEL, JDL OP, and JDL catted FP, made with a flat flange to mate with the Perrin midpipe. I had 0 issues with fitment or anything on the front half.

I'm just trying to understand what is pushing the left tip out so much when tightening it. Am I just aligning the S-Pipe poorly before tightening? I can get it all perfect when the V-Bands are loose. Both tips look great. Once I get to the point where the V-Band starts getting tight, that's when the movement occurs. I'll probably play with it again this weekend if the weather is nice. I'll try to get pictures if it helps, but I think it will be hard to tell by looking at pictures what's wrong, but I'm willing to try anything at this point. I love the exhaust... I'm just OCD about the tip alignment, lol.

Following. I have the same issue. Exhaust has been on for a week. Every time I walk up I stare at it.

Still working on this today... Been several hours, left tip is still sticking out a little bit more than the right no matter what I do.

Wow, didn't know other people have this issue as well. It bugged me quite a bit early on but I've grown used to it. THought I had it down but after a drive it would settle back to being uneven. Don't midn it much now as I plastidipped the tips so it's not that entirely noticeable. Also the nut on my V-clamp stripped the bolt where the S-pipe connects to the muffler so I'm pretty much out of luck anyways.

Well, I just about got it. Here is what I did.

Completely remove both v-band clamps, don't just loosen them. I twisted the S-Pipe clockwise and lined it up with the muffler as I pushed the muffler towards the front of the car. Tightened that v-band on the muffler. Next, I aligned it left and right with the 5th muffler hanger closest to the midpipe left and right. I put on the v-band for the midpipe section now, and lined up the pipe best I could. I had to push the muffler towards the front of the car a little bit to line the pipe up well so it wouldn't move much when I tightened it.

After a few tries of this, I ended up with my passenger side tip out a hair further than the driver side. It takes A LOT of patience and tinkering with the pipes to get it to line up. If anything, my passenger side tip is just a hair further than my driver's side. Nothing anyone would ever notice but me.

Jerk, lol.

So now after looking at it more, the passenger side sticking out about a half an inch further than the driver's side. The problem traded sides, lol. Driving on it some to see if it shifts. Otherwise, I'll mess with the connection at the mid pipe to adjust it some more.

FINAL UPDATE:

I got the tips to align! My OCD has paid off.

I started from the midpipe connection to the S-Pipe. The only direction I did not try to make the pipe go was up or down. I constantly was fiddling with it to go left and right. When I'm talking about up/down I'm talking about the piece that connects to the muffler. I set it higher this time so I had to push the muffler more into the pipe and held it in place with my knee. As I tightened it, I finished and looked and voala, tips are perfectly aligned on both sides.

Royal pain the ass, and took me 3 extra v-band clamps since I stripped a few. Still even after the extra time and money spent, I really love this exhaust. Perfect tone to match my JDL front half of the exhaust.

I'm having the same trouble with mine, too. Did you turn the s pipe clockwise while at the back of the car facing towards the front?

Yes, but I was the other way around most of the time. It took many many attempts to finally get it.
