Wait... How exactly are you saying this is unusable? It fits right where the stock one is.

Intercooler outlet pipe prevents proper fitment.

To anyone currently running this kit in 90°F+ temperatures... What kind of coolant temps are you seeing on average or range for normal everyday driving?

I took the 86 out for the first time this past Saturday since installing the v3 SC...I topped out at 215°F coolant temp during a 2.5 mile ride going no more than 40mph. It was like 100° or 101°F that day. I hit 218°F while parked just before pulling into my garage... no air flow.

I have to take the 86 out again and drive during cooler outside temps and see how the 86 reacts. I'm thinking I could have too many coolers sitting on the front deck and impeding air flow to the radiator... hope I'm wrong and it is just the 100° days.

Thanks in advance...

Wanna sell that duct?

And I live in south Florida now and I notice the difference with hot days but I have never paid attention to the thermostats using something other than the dash one (which isn't much). I have several friends down here with turbo setups and one is 500hp daily and no real issues.

I returned it already... just had to eat the shipping cost...

Awesome... hopefully I'm just paranoid and nothing is out of the ordinary.

I won't fit. Read the HKS SC owners thread. I posted pics there.

Upd: exactly as the pic above. HKS guys did not even bother checking it before recommending it.

HKS v3 supercharger

What's the best option for us then as an intake?

Also, where can we buy more traction fluid? Mine leaks from the seal on the top of the container. I need to find another rubber seal or something.

Drove around yesterday and hit 227°F during normal driving... I did no more than 45mph. The temp stayed in range of 190-194° on the way to my destination then started to creep up.

It is definitely an airflow issue... because on the way back home, I was driving into a headwind and my temp came down rather quickly from @225° to 203° and stayed pegged there.

Next time I take off my bumper cover, I'm going to install some foam packing on the sides of the radiator to help keep air flowing through the radiator instead of around it. I have the top and bottom of the radiator covered well. Hopefully this helps.

Upper foam packing...

Lower foam packing...

Btw, oil temp never surpassed my coolant temp.... I remember seeing 209° for my oil temp at one point during my drive.

I got around to installing some foam packing on the sides of my Mishimoto performance radiator today.

I had hoarded some wedge-shaped packaging foam from work because I knew I would use it some day... good thing I did because it was perfect for closing off the gaps to the sides of my radiator.

It should help direct airflow through the radiator instead of around it. I'll have to test it out this week...

This the gap on the passenger side...

3M double-sided tape...

Installed on passenger side...

Driver side...
