That is intentional.

It's wheelbase is almost 120 inches. That's ginormous.

It is meant to look like hot hatch, golf, but it is closer to an Audi SQ5.

Part of it is accidental because the wheelbase on EVs are capable of being, and intentionally, long for their length, so the Q5 is the same dimensions, but 111” wheelbase. The Civic sedan is longer than the IONIQ 5.
