Springs are 8/8.
They're still on the car (in the garage) but here are a few pics. I can take them off tomorrow if you want more.

- removed and inspected pillow mounts
- tightened pillow mounts to 50 ftlbs
- loosened and re torqued end links
- checked shock rebound with top hats removed on different damping settings

sounds exactly like this guy's problem:

^possible damage may occurred because of this. should never use impact on strut top nut.

Looks like the issue was never resolved. Buyer beware.

It was determined by BC that the noise was normal. No damage was done by torquing the top nuts, the dampers were tested and confirmed to be functioning perfectly. (I have videos of this.) I have a chain of emails of all the troubleshooting. I'm selling to buy something higher quality.

People have experienced the noise in my car and told me I was exaggerating but it bothers me.

BCs tend to often make noise. I've had a set and known many people with them and it's common. It's one of the downsides to an affordable set of coilovers. BCs are great for stancing out on the cheap but you will have noises and rough ride. The upside is they are 40% of the cost of a good set (KW V3s and the like)
