Wink Speed in gears calculator

Sorry if it's repost...

A friend of mine gave me this link a while ago and I figured you might be interested to use it as well.. I find it quite beneficial to study the correct gearing/speeds for certain corners especially after adding the SC, you may also see the effects of the different size of tires, final gear ratios and whatnot and unlike other calculators this one allows you to pick the car from the dropdown menu with predefined settings ( you might need to modify for the AT FRS/BRZ)..I think overall it's a good way the analyze shifting at track especially if you compare that to your track logs (I noticed I upshifted at many places unintentionally) ..

now if only there was a metric conversion so that everyone else in the world could use this without busting out a calculator

otherwise great tool

if you plug in the values for the Cusco Final Drive you can see the drastic effect it has on the overall spread.

also, I don't gain too much gearing with an 245/40/18 vs a 225/40/17 ... hoped it would be more.

I use this one

http://www.turnzero.com/technical_re...ear_calculator

It graphs it out for you so you can see the RPM in the next gear

It also conveniently has S2000 gearing stored....

I have a complete spreadsheet of stock gearing for MT and AT along with different final drives and gear sets to identify what can be done.

it looks good then again it would be really good if they had a bigger selection of cars for that reason I just look at the values horizontally to see the corresponding rev in the upper gear, in the tools that I posted

that makes sense, maybe that's what I need to do or maybe I can put a formula with a macro in a spreadsheet so it draws the graph as well but I am lazy

Note that if you want accurate results, you'll need a calculator that lets you enter your own tire circumference, and that you'll need to measure tire roll out to get that number.

Very good calculator, graphs, point to the line to check the speed at which rpm.
Left is MT and right is AT.
