It's kinda pricey though. Pak Shak probably has other options that are good too. I just asked the guy what he recommended and this happened to be the one he pointed to that day. |

If you do it right just water and wax...no need for soap. There are actually cleaners in the wax so you use the water with a rag/sponge whatever to get the surface dirt off then the wax does the actual cleaning. Reduces the amount of chemicals you use on your paint. A buddy of mine who used to work in the automotive industry taught me this a long time ago...I still do it today.

Another trick I learned for rinsing the car off (if you use soap) is to remove any kind of nozzle on the hose. Just let the water run out over the paint in large sheets - less water stays on the paint and makes it easier to dry.
Also, if you have a leaf blower, just turn it on to your car after the rinse to help shake off any other pooling water. If not, just take it for a quick brisk drive (if your area is clean!) to get the water out. |

If you really want to go for the gusto.... Acid wash, polish, wax. This will get everything off.... But you of course have to know how to acid wash >.>

I have Opti Coat Pro & Opti Seal applied now. It was suggested I just use Car Wash soap (CarPro Reset) and reapply Opti Seal in 3 months. I was told not to use wax/cleaners because it will strip the Opti Coat Pro from the car. I'm very stoked as to how the dirt doesn't really stick to the paint & the water just runs off car now. Yup, I'm thinking of ordering a Leaf Blower from Amazon. Thank you for the suggestions! I appreciate it very much!

If you're worried about acid wash, dishwashing soap also does a good job of stripping wax and other protectants from your paint. Make sure you polish and wax or seal afterwards though or your paint will suffer.
