Got my letter today. New valve springs for me. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to get my car back.

I think the last thing I saw it was less than 1/10 of one percent but I could be wrong about that.

Also, at least for Toyota, the dealership is authorized to give you a rental/loaner (hence my F150 story in Random Thoughts)

The dealership where I had mine done has their most senior tech assigned to the task and is doing all of them, or at least that's the story I got. I do know he did at least one car before mine, and is scheduled to do two next week.

Well I just got my car back and so far so good. The tech didn't give me the details I was looking for. I assume because it was his 1 first one. Just mentioned that he was able to skip a lot of steps due to my car being manual vs auto, but didn't specify.
Said once the engine was removed, it was as simple as flipping from one side to the other to do the springs. Says he took his time with it and that it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be, but he's not looking forward to doing more. Other than that, he wouldn't tell me more. New coolant, new oil. Car seems to run a little stronger than I remember. So far no leaks, but time will tell. |

Anyone else getting their spark plugs replaced for just parts or even just a few extra in labor so far aside from the user two posts above?
Also what is the general consensus when bringing the car in for the recall like at the dealerships? Do they want to do recalls, do they not? |
