We'll see! I'll be happy if I cut a second or two for now. I know how greasy RMP can get in 80+ conditions. Maybe in the first couple sessions I can try to knock one out.

Honestly, I'll probably just be learning the limits for a while. Trying to learn the tire ahead of Area 27 later in the month.

it's looking like I may not make it this saturday.

But I'm going to area27 on aug 23. I was thinking leaving the night before? Pretty long drive to get their in the AM.

We're making a wine tasting weekend out of it. I'm sure many others are as well. Be sure to book a hotel now since apparently they are getting filled up very quickly.

Curious to see your thoughts on this. RE71Rs are like no other tire I've driven.

They were awesome, but I didn't really get a chance to lean into them as I only had a few sessions before stopping for the day. Dealing with some heat + tune issues right now.

I was easily a second faster even with a super greasy track during the first session. There are multiple seconds left in the tire. I'm sure a 1:57 is possible even at my skill level. I'd guess that would be a 2:01 or so if I was still NA.

Driving Event Credits with IRDC

I don't think it has been mentioned here yet; IRDC offers volunteers (corner workers etc.) $75 credits for each day they volunteer. Credits are transferable and you can use credits earned Saturday and Sunday to participate in an HPDE the Friday before the weekend. You can also have someone volunteer on your behalf the day you participate in the event. HPDE fees for IRDC's upcoming event at the ridge 8/23-25 are $195 so you can drive the HPDE Friday for only $45 if you volunteer Saturday and Sunday.

In addition to obtaining driving credits working corners is a great way to be part of the action. The corner workers for local club races are the same people that work corners for pro events like the upcoming Indycar race at PIR Labor Day Weekend. Working corners for the Indycar race would be an awesome way to experience that event.

The weather this weekend at The Ridge looks amazing. 2 Days worth of Lapping for $375.

Totemo and I will be there Friday night to setup for the race weekend. We hope some folks come turn some laps in the HPDE group.

The last Hooked on Driving weekend at ORP of 2019 is THIS weekend!

There still plenty of room; I’ll be instructing both days in my FRS.

Finally dipped into the sub 2’s. Not by much but it counts. Great run group today.

Man, you are quick. I haven't even hit that with FI! Was it a cooler day?

Would love to see onboards if you have any.
