Just my opinion and experience with cars. Lots of opinions yes, some have no facts hence they are a guess like most of us do at some point :P

Scion is offering 1.9% on new sales now. I contacted my Toyota sales rep today to get in touch when he has details. Wouldn't be surprised if Toyota releases details at the 3/3-13 Geneva Auto Show. I'm planning to replace the '13 FRS I sold 2 years ago. Used prices are attractive, and generally fall when significant model refreshes are introduced. How much they fall will depend in part on the extent of the refresh and how the market perceives the value of those changes. I don't think the passing of the Scion brand is going to help the Scion FRS resale value, as it has never been well respected by gearheads or sports car enthusiasts. If I were seriously considering selling a current FRS, I'd do it sooner than later, though resale price drops should't be too drastic due to the fact that it's not an expensive car to begin with. Toyota will see a decrease in overhead costs, and the fact that it has gotten even more expensive to do business in the US recently may have been a contributing factor in eliminating the Scion brand overhead.. I'd like to think some of that savings may benefit consumers, but as a business owner, I'm afraid most of it will go to cover increased federal regulation and taxation. As for me, I have been driving Toyotas for 36 years, and would have preferred the car as a Toyota when I bought my '13. I will see what the 2017 refresh has to offer once details are announced, then decide if I will buy new or used.

If anyone has the ability to join a credit union I'd do it. I am only 1.5% from the get go.

Probably won't see anything until Chicago. Maybe not even until summer.

What does Toyota have in their stable that makes 100HP/L? The last engine they had that did this was the 2ZZ, and that's been dead for almost a decade.

Is there any car in this market that is specifically RWD, low COG, under 30k and lightweight (3000lbs) brand new that you have the choice to buy? Nothing.

That is why this car exists. If you're stuck on HP figures, go buy a damn Honda Odyssey with like 300hp

Miata and New Fiat fit this nicely.
