Just remember - follow the break in to the T and baby it for hundreds of miles (No boost, launches, etc). No fun but the result is awesome so far!
How did the clutch hold up after this?

Still running it like a champ. It has held up great. I run E85 all summer and hammer it all the time. I am going to take the car up to around 400WHP (currently 365) this summer and don't plan on a new clutch (or tranny - knock on wood) but it would not completely surprise me if one or the other or both wears out at this point. This little engine/car - tuned correctly has shown awesome longevity. Don't have any complaints at all about the SB setup. It's an awesome DD/Sport choice.

I ended up chosing SB because of their great reputation and their attention to detail.

Prior to placing my order - I took the opportunity to discuss my options.

Here is what they put together for me:

Their Stage 3 endurance clutch with a stage 2 flywheel. Why? It's heavier and this is an FI DD/Street/AX/track car. The fact that the flywheel is not super light should make it more like the OEM DMF even though it's a SMF. It should keep spinning rotational mass a bit to make it a bit more well mannered - especially in situations like being on a hill, in stop/go traffic. I think it's a really nice option and I am glad they suggested it.

It ran $850 for the clutch/flywheel/bolts etc. Should hold up to 450 ft lbs of torque and not produce much chatter.

We will see in about two weeks.

Hopefully I have chosen a "knock it out of the park" combo.

Chime in if you are running a SB clutch too! I would love to hear how yours is working out.
How much wtq are you running? I am planning on a new clutch

Last dyno was around 365whp and 268wtq.

All this said - I have noticed that the car is starting to be more difficult to handle at low rpms on little inclines. (grips/shudders a little) It never had an issue until the last couple of weeks. I drive the thing hard and on corn juice it delivers torque really fast.

I am going to try slipping it pretty hard to see if it's glazed or anything. Maybe a fluid change and probably take a peek soon. It's a DD and there is so much friggin stop and go traffic in Portland and then I hammer the crap out of it as soon as I get any chance

Awesome! Make sure to follow the break in process correctly. No boosting - messing around (drive like a granny) for the mileage they recommend. I think I did a few hundred miles and it was killing me. Such a good clutch. It will feel almost OE to you with none of the shenanigans that a ceramic and other clutches can during have during DDing

This is a tempting clutch, along with the SB Stage 2 daily or the Exedy stage 2.

So is your setup a Stage 3 Endurance PP and a Stage 2 Endurance FW?

I'd like to order this combo, it sounds like this plus the Velox clutch fork will do wonders in terms of holding, feel, and sound.

I shouldn't have any issues boosting, I'll be breaking in a built motor.

Yes - that is my setup. I wasn't really too bothered with the lighter weight FW - I wanted it to handle nicely as a DD. Which it does perfectly. No chatter. Easy at low RPMs on hills etc. RPMs hang a bit in comparison but it doesn't bother me since I don't drive autocross that much.

I don't remember it being soft - but I babied it. It just worked like a normal clutch. I did not take it above about 5K before shifting for a few hundred miles.

Lol let me rephrase it... lighter than stock? I still have stock flywheel.

If I remember - it is lighter than stock - not much but lighter - don't quote - give them a call for the exact weight. They are super responsive. You might have to just get their weight and compare it to the stock weight to get the exact numbers. In action - it feels close. I haven't driven SBs lightweight but I bet it's really well behaved on the road as well. I don't think it is "super-light".
