I didn't see Max's pass, but Stroll got no penalty. I don't think it was intentional, just ugly.

My point was that stroll pulled off a pass by 1, going off track at corner exit and 2, forcing another driver off the track because stroll couldn't keep his car on the track.. IMO, that should be a 5 second penalty right there if he doesn't give the place back. Diving for the apex is not really a move you want to be encouraging. |

Very strong rumours of Seb to Aston Martin Racing next year seem to be getting stronger…
https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/a...cEeX2xT5y.html Smells like someone’s contract at Racing point will be … modified Sergio Pérez https://twitter.com/hashtag/KeepCheco?src=hash |

I'm leaning towards Lance getting the boot, I know everyone assumes his seat is safe because daddy owns the team, but you don't become a billionaire by having a soft heart. Perez stomped on Lance last season and still looked stronger at both Austrian GP's, not to mention the cost to the team to buy him out (even if it isn't that high) and missing out on the Carlos Slim money going forward.
Sergio can probably land pretty safely at Haas though if he wants it next year, and he's still young enough to make a championship run with the right team. Williams could also work too if they're not happy with Latifi already. |

The F1 Soap…
Sometimes more exiting than the racing itself! What could be on the agenda… This is Daddy’s team: He either keeps the family/Jr happy with a seat or moves sunny upward into management..(Peter principle…) Cant see him moving to another team at this point. Seb may see this as an intermediate move to close in on a Mercedes drive for his last few years if Hamilton retires? Perrez logically should stay as he has done much to keep the team alive to this point. He admits to getting calls from other teams, he does have good money to follow him with his sponsor if he is forced to take that route, Perrez has quite the Fan base, Saw some Pink Panthers walking around last year. On another note, Ric is still quite pissed about Sunday and wants to talk about it during the drivers meeting… |

We will see how big daddy Stroll handles it. Business decision or family decision.
That battle for 5th though. I have watched this a dozen times.

I watched the first few seconds of it about a dozen times and I'm even more confused as to how Stroll didn't get a penalty for that pass. Ricciardo was already turning in when Stroll arrived.

Yeah, I don't get it either. It sets a bad precedent for further incidents too.

Vettel vs Perez in the same team would be great fireworks. But I doubt Vettel would allow a competitive teammate in the conditions of his contract
