Cold Air vs OEM Intake with filter change

Im attempting to create a whole for a custom air intake duct for better airflow on my front bumper as commonly seen on the RB kits. I want to keep my stock parts and since my FRS bumper is shot I thought now would be a good time to create the duct for better airflow while I look for another bumper and decide whether to do it again.

I understand theirs a lot of back and forth about the Aftermarket CAI vs keeping OEM and just changing the filter. If anyone could link me to dyno results for the following debacle id very much appreciate it.

From Arizona but born and raised in SoCal and im here for the meantime (rona).

Let me rephrase I am referring to Aftermarket CAI that does not re-use any OEM parts and involves installing a whole new Air Intake setup.

When mine was NA tuned and just under 200hp the OEM CAI wasn't a restriction, when mine was turbo with around 270hp the OEM CAI wasn't a restriction.

In saying this I did have a highflow filter and did the snorkel mod and removed all resonators and that stupid sound tube.

My build thread is in my sig.

Aftermarket intakes are typically all marketing and dodgy dyno claims.

Opinions may vary.
