Hey guys, I need recommendations for a catch can for my 2017 brz thats not too expensive but is also good, best bang for buck. Any suggestions?

How necessary is it for the 2017s to have the AOS now? I'm on the fence on the entire velox set (aos, coolant, drainback)

I installed one the same day I brought my 2017 home. Recommend getting one for the PCV. The breather gets a little blowby but not enough to warrant a $200+ can/AOS. The way I drive, PCV catches a good bit. Going to upgrade to radium soon. Don't want anything but fuel and air taking up my combustion chamber space. No blowby allowed. MAXIMUM POWWAAA

Just out of curiosity, why's the Mishimoto not recommended? (wow, first post)...

The vast majority of their products are pretty low quality, with enough R&D to say they did R&D, not enough to actually have remarkable improvements and performance gains.

Their radiators are often generic-ish fitment to cover an extra face lift or generation they have no business covering, their high performance fans move less air than stock fans, their thermostats stick, they don't even put their logo on silicone products straight.

I have personally experienced and tested their products and removed everything but my FXT radiator, and my BRZ intake tube.

The radiator will be replaced when I do the next motor, and the intake tube looks better than stock so it'll stay...for now.

Can easy was the install? I lose quite a bit of oil from the way I drive and I think the best option for me is PCV

A simple PCV valve catch can is such a simple system that really any baffled can will suffice.

That being said, the recommendations above (Radium, RacerX, Veerus) are all good choices.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but as I understand these prevent oil from entering the cylinders with the air right? So If I don't track my car but have a decent daily commute, will a catch can lengthen the life of my engine? Would I see other benefits?

When going wide open throttle (WOT), engine oil blow-by may occur. On these cars in NA form, under closed loop (basically, normal everyday driving), you will not see much blow-by.

tl;dr - it will not lengthen the life of your engine in any noticeable amount. Benefits would be you get a shiny item in your engine bay. It won't hurt anything, but wouldn't help much.
