unless it was already lower than 0.7 :-)

ecu uses iam initial value at startup, unless the iam value after last drive was less than iam initial.

Some days I wish this thing had a softly tuned bigger motor in it so I wouldnt have to brake drag it to get the iam back. Knock sensor shit . I guess it would make me less of an "enthusiast" though.

Yep. It might not revert on a hot restart, but definitely if parked for a while.

It will reset even on a key flick while rolling. As steve99 pointed out, it will only reset if the IAM climbed above the initial. If it was below the initial then it will restart at the lower value.

I just learn reading this about the 0.7 IAM. Is it only on the 2017?
I do autocross a lot with my 2017, and often stop the car between runs. This would mean i lose a lot a HP in the following run!!

How much time does it take to go back from 0.7 to 1? Does it come back after the first pull in first gear? Does that pull need to be to redline? From the start line I usually shift to second at 6500rpm, since I reach the first slalom before redline. Is that enough to go back to 1.0 IAM?

And is there a way I can monitor the IAM without an Ecutek or OFT? I have a OBD2 reader. Maybe I can check the timing advance and deduce the IAM?

Thanks

Was the negative battery terminal pulled; ie was the ECU reset, and it needed to learn?
