Fexible data cable to mount iphone or android in car

Has anybody used one of these charging data cable to mount an iphone in their FRS? I was looking to buy Proclip but the price is too high. Plus this cable mount could be used in any car as opposed to a proclip which is custom. Its only $30 at amazon with free shipping. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...ho-love-iphone [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Une-Bobine-flexible-charging-Includes/dp/B009YYE6Q2"]Une Bobine - The flexible sync, and charging cable for: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics[/ame] review [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHqmCuqSmMs"]Une Bobine & Petite Bobine Flexible Charger for iPhone - YouTube[/ame]

i'd advise against those kinds of mounts. They tend to put the stress/tension on the charging port of your phone which over time can loosen things up and result in trouble charging in the long term. just my opinion/experiences though.

I was going to use the cig charger in console since that would be more supportive and use USB for music. I had a griffin cig charger to play music thru my old SC300 radio never had a problem. I could see it damaging the USB port but cig adapter is a lot more sturdy.

I agree. I would question these for a stationary mount, but for the good of my phone there is no way I would use one long term in a moving vehicle. It's just too much stress on the connector.
