A base 370z is already 7k cheaper though

30,090 vs 37,300

The STI has AWD, 2.5T, LSDs front and rear with a clutch pack so the driver can select the torque distribution front n rear ratio (ie, 50/50, 40/60), large Brembos, good suspension, etc.

The 370Z has a 3.7L RWD, no LSD for $30k. The new Z could have less horsepower than the 370Z for a base model, so $32k sounds fair for a starting price.

its a photoshop to show what it could look like and how the Z & Nissan logo fits over leaked pics.

They could also do a badge in a square configuration with the numbers stacked like:

400
Z

It makes more sense to just use a Z and then to use GT or S or something else to designate different trims like how they added Twin Turbo to the 300ZX They could do those badges if they have different power levels or just a NISMO badge if that is the only other major trim. If they went with the stacked system then they could do 300Z and 400Z and 500Z in small letters. If they wanted to keep with tradition then they could do the 300Z with a secondary badge for different trims, and they could make the 300 in a small font, so people aren’t confused why the numbers aren’t larger.

You have to imagine it done well. Many manufacturers use a symbol above or below a name. The Z could be a detailed, designed letter and the font for the 300 could be small and simple. Think of Tesla, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, etc.

Sounds sweet. I did a googling of vr30 tuning and what I gathered was +50-100 hp/tq. Not sure what bolt ons are included in that but can imagine not much more than downpipe and intake intercooler tubing.

Good thing for the people that prefer the 400Z since it's bound to have a significantly lower price of entry.

Sounds like hearsay. The director from the Z clubs is claiming lies, but he also could be covering for Nissan too.

Even if he is wrong, it seems true. I don’t see why they would make a base without LSD or some other amenities. An entry price for most enthusiasts is $35k, so that would be a fine place to start if they did that.
