Not planning on that being a permanent fix but, at least until I get around to actually taking the door panel off, it'll do.
As an addendum to this, I have now slid two dimes on either side of my quarter shim. The rattling been almost entirely eliminated (only comes back if the stereo volume is turned up absurdly loud, and at that point, the door rattle is drowned out), so my interim fix has been extended until I devote time to aesthetic/interior mods, which might be a while.

The only reason I'm posting this at all is that I know I'm not the only one with the rattle issues. This is an almost free way to at least get rid of the annoying rattle until a proper fix is done.

As I stated in a different post, I already shimmed all the window/door lock switches with paper shims and those don't rattle anymore. But I still heard rattling in the door, which went away when I would push hard on the plastic panel right above the faux-leather armrest. My current shim situation is one dime first, quarter slid in behind dime, then second dime slid in behind quarter. A different combination of coins (or shims of other materials) would probably work just as well, but that's what I had in my car at the time and it works lol.

I'll try to remember to add a picture to this post later as well.

Check out your local auto wreckers and see if you can find a set of the 14+ padded speaker panels. The bit of padding they have seems to go a long way to reducing the rattles from the speakers.

They keep the shocks clean. (cleaner anyway) When it rains; the roads get covered with dirt/grime.

And yeah, when it snows, they act like a sweater to keep the oil in my shocks warmer. You should think about getting some....

I put a set of Blizzaks on my car today. Road noise is quieter and bumps feel a bit softer now, but that's probably less about the tires themselves and more about the fact that the shitty all seasons that were on there before were down to the wear bars. Either way, driving experience significantly improved lol.

They sound silly. No way I am putting anything that says "rock star" on any of my cars.

They look like they would make good gaters for snow skiing.
