Traction Control issue

I have a 2013 FRS that is having a weird traction control issue. My driveway is up a little hill (and I do mean little) and every time I pull into it, the car bucks and the traction control light comes on. I turned off the TC via the button on the console and it still does it.

I have Racecomp SS-1s on the car, so maybe I'm getting a tire leaving the ground and it doesn't like it?

Sorry if this isn't the right forum.

If you haven't confirmed whether or not this is the case, then you might as well do that first before we all go chasing our tails. Lifting the inside rear would definitely explain what you're experiencing.

Which TC button are you using?
The SS button or the VSC button?
OFF SPORT
And are you pressing it or holding it?
Try pressing and holding the SS button until the TRAC and SS lights illuminate.
OFF OFF OFF

Whenever I post this, the text gets rearranged. I'm trying to desrcibe the different buttons and indicators but I think you know what I mean.

The button on the left (car with squiggly lines under it) just to make sure I don't misname it again. I did just press it, and it didn't light up the dash light, so I think you're right it wasn't really "off."

My theory on the back left lifting is only because it started after the SS-1 installs, but I haven't parked it on the drive at the approach angle to make sure. It's a solid theory at this point. Good to know that will create that behavior.

With a Torsen LSD, it acts as an open diff if there is no torque load on one wheel IE, it's in the air. The TC is using the brakes to engage the caliper on that wheel to get it to grab and lock. This is likely what you are feeling. My car does it all the time on inclines as it is both low and stiff. I can't hit transitions straight on or I scrape, but a slight angle causes one of the tires to lose contact with the ground. Completely normal.

Yup that, is the torsen and traction control system working as intended. I’ve found that if you can do it faster it smooths it out because grabbing the brake on the left rear will jerk the car less at higher speeds.
