I did change the oil and filter. My car is better set up since the last oil change to run sustained hot laps in HPDE. It saw 3 HPDEs with oil temps sustained ~260F and ambient at or above 100F. Seeing the results gives me a bit more confidence to know that the oil and engine isn't failing as a result of running in those conditions. Unsure how the differential and transmission are doing.

To add, the previous analysis was 4 HPDEs, 3 of those were 100F+ days but the car didn't have tires that could hot lap, especially not in such hot temps, so while oil could hit 263F, it wasn't sustained as I needed 1-2 cooldown laps for every hot lap.

Thanks for the detail info. Did you ever had your pick up inspected? If so, how bad was the blockage, if any?

Thanks.

5w30. Not married to any brand in particular. I've had Mobil1 and Motul 8100 analyzed. non-scientifically the numbers for Motul 8100 look better, but both oils are within spec after use.

Never inspected. Confident there's a RTV in there. If I open things up, it'll be some combination of a confirmed problem from the OEM, i'm adding a baffle because the data being gathered by people much smarter than me show a consistent and significant drop in oil pressures on track, or the thing blows up.

Thanks. Please do post the state of your pick up when you install your baffle.
