I meant both posts are about the same thing that happened on the same date. not 2 similar issues.

Their reason for not covering it is because "I broke it myself" even though it has never been touched by anyone other than the service center (except for now because I needed my car back)

I attached the message from the receipt from subaru. Mavis did the work for $60 + $70 in parts (Disc Brake Caliper Bracket (Right, Front) and

Bolt and Washer. Bolt Housing M12 19.)

This is still not add up. There is no way to for you to break it if you never touched it. What you described is probably an under/over torque issue. With some negotiation of facts with Subaru this should have been taken care of. Did you start with threatening to sue?

Threads stripped, not a broken bolt, wheel bearing bolt heads partially rounded, damage to backside of wheel bearing, damage to both inside and outside wheel lips that would not be caused by the loose caliper. It's entirely reasonable to deny the warranty claim because it seems someone who doesn't know what they're doing got in there and tried to do something, or at least some major event outside of subaru's control unfolded.

The warranty's job is for material and workmanship defect on subaru's part. If you fucked something up, that's on you, if this is the result of an incident, then it's an insurance job.

Agree this smells fishy. The past history of posts and the damage the tech found (stripped threads, rounded bolt heads, damage to wheel bearing) is really suspicious.

Did you understand the answers in your other thread even one little bit? The other thread is completely and totally a different thing and your wheels do not attach the same as the recall anyway.

This whole "class action" is laughably stupid!
