That's awesome. I'd rock it. If I'd find a good molded duct to the bumper it be a nice add on.

Which seems odd. I would think extra air pressure pushing through the filter would be benificial.

I also read that. If you're driving through water that deep i don't think those three little hose will you help much.

I have removed all the resonators from my intake. I did it progressively as I modded. I can say that removing the resonators one by one you can definitely hear the difference and which rev range they were each designed to quiet down. The ones in the snorkel were more for the top end.

In theory the extra air pressure is great for the engine but with no MAP sensor to measure that pressure[I'm assuming?] the MAF sensor measuring flow could result in a weak mixture. With higher pressure there is more air going in than the MAF reads so the extra fuel isn't supplied resulting in a lean mixture.

That makes sense. Altho i think our engine also has a MAP sensor and i'm fairly sure there are turbo setup tuned with the MAF only on the boost side of the turbo.

I did a search and you're right, it does have a MAP sensor so it shouldn't be a problem.

I ordered one. I don't expect to gain power with it. But I don't see it hurting either. I just got it to hopefully make the Innovate SC whine louder.

You wont see any gains on the dyno if its like other intake ducts for cars like the s2000. The s2000 spoon duct doesnt get gains at all on a dyno since you cant imitate 60-80 mph driving on a dyno with a fan.

Who knows though maybe this will get some gains on the dyno but these types of mods work best when you are driving in real world conditions. People with the spoon mod on s2k's all report feeling a difference when you start to get to 50-60 mph.

This would be a good addition to the TRD intake

Are people really asking what the holes are for for this part? Read the link. Its for any water that may collect as it diverts it out if there is any water entering the duct for driving at higher speeds during heavy rain. IMO if you dont drive fast in rain it wont matter.

read the thread.. someone bought it for about 200 bucks if I remember correctly. 200 is cheap compared to all the other air ducts that are out for this car all costing more.

Max Racing has one for 250-300 I think

http://jprova.co.jp/products/intake/...000001o5j.html
Prova has one for 400 and IMO the design of it isnt as nice as the Sym's or HKS with how it collects air.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...highlight=syms
Syms has one for 900 that is Carbon Fiber and replaces the whole front half of the OEM air box that is basically the same as this HKS duct but way more expensive and has an option of an extra part for 3-400 more dollars for carbon fiber part that goes where the sound tube/generator was at. If anyone has any idea what that part does I would love to know but IMO looks like a waste of money.

The thread has someone posting a dyno for the part but I doubt it was just the part it self. If anything the car probably had a tune or atleast a drop in filter in it.

The version in the pic must be for down here in Oz and Japan. The one for the northern hemisphere must have the holes opposite for the water to drain out the opposite side.
Make sure you get the right one.
