@DeliciousTuning
are these 100% pure SD tunes?
and mantain good driveability and smoothness being SD?

Do the feautures for Ecutek bluetooth (sliders on custom inputs display) included in the service?

These are not 100% SD tunes. We actually have almost all our Forced Inductions tunes setup as hybrid to improve drivability.

We are adding in a standard set of sliders/adjustments with the EcuTeK ECUConnect App for customers, for tweaking the tune yourself. Anything custom would be an additional charge unless there is good reason to make it part of the standard set.

Cheers,
William Knose

So for people who wants to remove maf to use another input, you just set Full SD with the flaw that the driveability will be kinda sloppy right?
the maf% trim slider you set is to try adjusting better the fuel. trims on the fly?
thanks for the response

We can setup pure SD for users if they choose, just be aware that the drive-ability will work on some cars but not all cars. We have discussed this with EcuTeK over the years and they do believe that there may be something else at play deep in the code of the ECU that causes the SD to still rely on the MAF a bit.

The MAF trim % scaler if for adjusting the trims a bit more/on the fly correct.

Cheers,
William

Looking for feedback from anyone who have upgraded to the RaceRom 10 (v25 onward) how did it feel compared to the older tune?
@DeliciousTuning does your FnG tune work well with Australian cars and our shitty 98 fuel? Have you encountered any issues tuning forced induction with AUDM cars?

Hi All,

We have been hard at work over the past 6 months working on a solution for LSPI (low speed pre-ignition), on forced induction, high-compression, direct injected cars, such as the BRZ. This is a pretty complicated issue even the vehicle manufacturers are trying to get sorted. Thought it was worth the update as to what we have been working on in the tune to mitigate this issue. We are hoping to release some new updates soon that take this and a couple other things into account.

If you do not know what LSPI is take a look here: https://www.motor.com/magazine-summa...-pre-ignition/

Regards,
William Knose

New version release is official. Version 28.50 offers these updates.

Version 28.50 Updates
- changes to help mitigate LSPI (low speed pre-ignition)
- drivability improvement over 27.5x and 28.xx
- more top end power on the Edelbrock supercharger
- more accurate AFR readings
- better closed loop fuel control under WOT

Short education post on what we have been spending a LOT of time on (within our tunes) this year in order to remove LSPI issues. You may ask what is LSPI.

Low Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI): this trait is inherent on high compression, forced induction, direct injected engines, such as the BRZ (with forced induction) and 2015+ WRX, that can cause the combustion to pre-ignite at low RPM's and high loads.

Here is a good article on what the issues are and what we are trying address in tune, along with other physical changes.

https://www.motor.com/magazine-summa...-pre-ignition/

We have found a few key items the tune to mitigate this issue while trying to offering safety, drivability and power for daily commuters.

Some other things to watch are the oil that you are using in your engine. Cars that are prone to LSPI, please make sure you are using an oil that is SN PLUS rated.

Any plans to release this for the Treadstone turbo kit? Or would that require a custom tune? Will all the features be applied?

Is there a price difference for upgrade vs new purchase?

@DeliciousTuning Can I upgrade a remote tune to 33.5 even if remote tuning isn't offered anymore? I've had so many issues with idle on my Edelbrock, I'd like to test those idle improvements
