It's possible that he claimed that the O2 sensor scale made it read off, not that the OFT reading was incorrect. You would get the same readings on other devices due to this.

actually Wayne really says on his website that OFT logs incorrectly also the actual afr.. but that s wronf, actual afr is logged good with OFT, just the target afr is offset

Got a log here with 3 3rd gear pulls after attempting to scale my MAF. Would appreciate a review. Thanks.

you have OFT right? you actually want the "afr" to be 0.2 lower than "command afr" because oft ha some kind of strange offset to the command afr, it s always logged 0.2 leaner than the misured afr
also check your ignition timing, you are having -4 flkc, that s definitely knocking hard, also log the Advance multiplier |

Thanks. I'm stuck on Kodename47's instructions for filtering the logs in vgi's tool. Not sure what the filter criteria are: AND the 3 together? Also, what is the limit criteria for the IAM drop?

sorry i m not following you in what you are talking about
afr and maf scaling seem good, but i would make all richer up from 3v of maf voltage of 1% anyway the AM drop is difficult to understand, i think from what i read in ecutek's pdfs, am drop when flkc collects an amount of ign retard (for example in your log -4.8 at 5600rpm that btw is VERY bad and you should fix it asap in your base timing B table) that is more or equal than the half of the value in the Knock corr A table on the same engine speed/load cell i think you could have definitely an AM drop on that log but you didn t log the Adv multiplier value remove Wideband afr from the logs, that doesnt work, and add Adv multiplier |

Thanks @tomm.brz. 3 new logs: https://datazap.me/u/protoformx/log-...og=0&data=1-12 https://datazap.me/u/protoformx/log-...1&data=1-11-12 https://datazap.me/u/protoformx/log-...2&data=1-11-12 -I enriched the MAF scale above 3V by 1.5%. -I updated the base timing B table per your directions. A couple observations of my own: 1. The knock above 4k is greatly reduced but not completely eliminated. 2. I see some knock at low RPMs (<3k). How much timing should I pull for this and the bit of knocking above? 3. IAM did not dip below 1 during the knocking. 4. AFR is not that much below commanded AFR in OL mode. Should I enrich the MAF cal a little more? |

I set the initial IAM to 0.88 because I saw it was always 1 in previous logs after settling. As soon as I saw it go to 1 I did the pull and it didn't go down. |

Long time reader, first time poster. I have been slowly working on my '13 BRZ and am really delving into self-tuning. I have been running the OFT v4.03 Stage 2+ tune paired with Gruppe-S catless UEL headers and an Invidia R400 exhaust and stock intake. I tweaked the idle up a hair to 800 rpm and adjusted the injector ratio to DI only at idle to help with idle hunting. Other than that, I added the throttle tip-in settings, fans and set the ignition advance to 1. After extensive mileage, the car is running quite rich with consistently high negative LTFT, shown in these logs; https://datazap.me/u/craneom/r104-hi...6-7-9-10-12-14 Since then, I have rescaled my MAF with VGI's tool and removed the throttle tip-in settings and the car feels better than it did before, but is now running a little on the lean side with positive LTFTs and slight knock up top. https://datazap.me/u/craneom/r105-fi...6-7-9-10-12-14 IIRC, the target AFR for WOT is about 11.9 in the upper range. How lean is too lean?

Got some low RPM/light throttle knock earlier tonight. Any idea what's going on here?

This is belongs to a friend of mine.
Car is MY17, K00G, EU spec manual BRZ. Mods: Tomei UEL catless header Tomei op Perrin silicone intake hose Panel filter OFT 4.03 stg2+ tune RON95 fuel (only option in this country) Oil catch can Too much negative FLKC and too much negative LTFT. Bad gas mainly causes FLKC but is that much normal just because of ron95? What causes that much negative LTFT? Do you think is there any problem beside bad fuel? https://datazap.me/u/halujeddo/log-1...0&data=1-10-12 |

v4 k00g sucks bad, and the tune makes no sense
copy v4 b01c tables to your k00g tune and try again timing could be too high cause also of the fuel you get in ur country, so lower a bit base timing B and check maf svaling |
