they made an error in the article. the FRS/BRZ/86/GT 86 does NOT use a transaxle.

Aluminum trunk? Say it ain't so! Even my Miata's steel trunk weight very heavy, this would be real nice to reduce wight in the back. I'm sure bumpers are still steel cores.

I hope it does. I want it to set a trend and put other car companies on notice. That low budget cars can be fun. I applaud Toyota/Subaru.

People GO buy this car if finances permit it.

I don't think so, truthfully. Franchises have always built small extremely fun cars. It's just they're usually FWD. In one of my dreams Ford builds an AWD Production Focus....

It all depends on the price. It will sell better in the US than in Japan for sure, but price is the key.
