While checking social media to get myself to sleep. Saw funny news. Long story short, senior students at local Highschool did stupid prank. School suspend all the students that were involved… which were half of senior students. Now parents are flipping out.

Funny part isn’t the news. It’s all the comments. Break it down, 2 main kind of parents commenting. 1. Parents who think “It was a harmless prant, chill out.” 2. Parent who thinks “You do stupid things, you win stupid prizes.” These 2 crazy parents are duking it out in the comments. Both side points are way overboard & funny. One calling other one “Mom who raising a robot child.” & other one calling other one “Bitch who raised a child with no common sense.”

It’s funny as fuck!

I hope it's worse than the story I heard about with a high school in Redondo Beach, CA.

They went to their rival HS, Mira Costa, to burn "Redondo Union High School" into their football field.

Then they misspelled "Redondo" as "Redodo".

Gotta admire that kind of dedication to a goal. Schools these days don't do enough hands-on anymore. It's all book smarts.

I have an idea.

There's a parent that doesn't understand kids. I can't think of any teenager I've ever known (including my peers in the '70s) that had more than an ounce of common sense once a "good plan" came together.

All I'll admit to is that I was a "good kid" but if I had gotten punished for every stupid prank I pulled I'd probably still be on suspension.

I never pulled a prank once in any level of school. Was just not something I would ever have had any interest in participating in. Does that mean I was a "good" teenager? Well no not by a long shot. If pulling pranks is the worst that the kids do then there is little they have to worry about.

I read the story, and forks in the practice field looked like a cute harmless prank, and balloons and streamers in the school, wow. United the class.

In my opinion, this is when the administrators should pretend to be mad, make them pull them out over a lunch break. The end.

One of our best pranks was when we turned the quad into a pond complete with a sandy beach, beach chairs, and ducks and geese. Took them most of the day to pump it out.

Then there was the beaver and the Bob prank. Late one night we stole the Bob's Big Boy statue from in front of the restaurant. Down the street was the beaver car wash, and we stole the 6 foot beaver statue they had. We put them both on the stage in the quad. The car wash guys had a good laugh over it when they came to pick up the beaver, but the Bob's people weren't as amused. They charged the school a few hundred bucks saying Bob was damaged. The Dean was so mad, but no one talked. Since no one came forward, he took the money out of the senior class fund. Good times.

Well shit, then every graduating class of my university should be suspended. As seniors pour laundry detergent into the fountain in the common area every year before graduation. So then the day of, pieces of detergent foam are floating all over the ceremony.

One of my favorite ones, not done by me, but I've seen it done, is a two pronged prank. It's been done by others, but this is the one I have personal knowledge of.

A group from my college went to a "rival" college fraternity that had a prominent lawn on an incline in front of their frat house one snowy winter night and shoveled a version of their logo in the snow that, lets say, questioned their relationship with each other. So, of course the next day the rivals came out, saw it, and immediately covered it up with snow.

What they didn't know is that the snow logo was used as a template for the spreading of some miracle grow to the underlying grass. Come Spring (and well into the Summer) the image was present in the darker and longer grass.
